What better way to start the new year with a new blog post and what better to write about that one of the most blessed moments I felt within the past year. Oh Lord, I cannot believe 2014 has already come and gone but I hope this recollection can bring some joy to your new year.
I can not think of a single time in my life where I have ever felt badly about doing good in someone else's life. In fact just a few weeks ago I remember one day not because of all the stressful parts that puzzled it all together but the single act of kindness from a stranger. On that particular day my daughter had been sick and I just remember being so stressed out at all the happenings from that morning but in our venture to find lunch and finding the nearest fast food chain I ordered only my daughters lunch and still was going to have to find the change at the bottom of purse to pay for it. And as I pulled up to the window and reached out my hand of change and a measly crumpled dollar bill the cashier stopped me and told me it had been paid for. Afterwards I'm sure that poor lady thought I was having a mental break down because I couldn't help but cry. Full heavy tears. I got through the line and looked for the truck that had just been in front of me. And he had parked just a few spots away. He saw my tears and with his mouth just smiled and waved. You never know how much someone really needs just that little act of kindness and I know I sure said a prayer for that sweet man afterwards. That small kindness changed my whole day and even the next, and even this day to where I'm talking about it now.
Overall you never now how much your acts of kindness really helps someone, not to mention the joy it places within your own heart.
With love I share this story with you,
